With 'Marie Laveau' and 'Let It Burn', Volbeat mixes hard rock and melodies with catchy refrains and heavy solos confirming the class of Rob Caggiano. The catchy tracks cut for the US radios represent an important part of the record especially in its first part. Like the previous one, the album is rich and allows the band to propose a clever mix between rock tracks tinted with pop and unbeatable melodies and more metallic tracks. ![]() The question with this sixth album, "Seal The Deal & Let's Boogie", will be to know if it will be the benchmark album we're waiting for. ![]() But considering its very marked style, a band such as Volbeat has to renew itself and even if its last album had seen them proposing catchier tracks while remaining biting, the Danish combo could give the impression of resting a little too much on its laurels by proposing us just a good album. In five albums, Poulsen and his men have kicked a slumbering metal anthill with an excellent mix of genres and an incredible freshness. With "Outlaw Gentlemen & Shady Ladies", Volbeat had confirmed their status. ![]()
